A.S. Gusev (b. 1937) graduated from the Orenburg Polytechnical Institute in 1959 and from the Leningrad State University in 1978. D. Sc. (Eng.), professor of "Applied Mechanics" Department of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (2-ya Baumanskaya ul. 5, Moscow, 105005 Russian Federation). Author of more than 150 publications and 20 inventions on the problem of reliability and lifetime of structures.
