Due to introduction of new multistage liquid-propellant launch vehicles with clusters of boosters (based on the unified booster structure), there is a need for additional analysis of their dynamic properties. In comparison with the tandem multistage rockets, vibrations of rockets with clusters of boosters have some peculiarities, which complicate the analysis of their dynamic characteristics. The main reason for this is the mutual influence of the central and lateral blocks during vibrations. It introduces additional allowable motions of the blocks. The article deals with the problem of elastic vibrations of lateral-staging liquid-propellant launch vehicles. The authors carry out the research into the problem of the rocket longitudinal natural vibrations. They also make approximate calculation of the lowest tones and respective modes of the rocket longitudinal vibrations with the help of the liquid sloshing oscillatory model.
