The article describes computer calculations of unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of the axially symmetrical cylinder models with a fixed aspect ratio using the program created by the authors. A numerical solution of the Navier -Stokes equation is obtained for the perfect gas model in laminar flow. The authors consider the solved problem as a conjugate one since it was necessary to obtain a damping coefficient (an aerodynamic pitch damping moment), which required mathematic modeling of both the unsteady flows and free oscillations of the above mentioned bodies relative to the mass center. The results of the calculation are compared to the well-known observed dependences.
