Two mathematical models of ice generator are considered - a cylindrical one for reel ice generator and a flat model for tape generator. Equations for calculation the ice outgrowth per rotation unit and the ice generator productivity for both models are given. The reel generator rotation frequency (or belt speed) providing predetermined ice layer thickness was estimated. Calculations were made under condition of ice outgrowth in stagnant water.
