Optimisation of geometry of a supersonic channel in the energy separation device

The initial system of equations describing gas flow in the device for temperature stratification of a gas (the Leontiev’s tube) for a supersonic channel of conical shape, is derived. The optimisation of shape for a supersonic channel at Pr < 1 is carried out. The derivation of an initial equation set is done on the basis of unidimensional equations of gas dynamics. The comparison of calculation with experiments is performed.
