Simplest Triangular Finite Elements of Thin Plates Calculated in Context of Kirchhoff’s Theory

The construction of three non-conformal elements for thin flexible plates is detailed: Morley element, BSIZ element and the one with discrete application of Kirchhoff’s hypothesis. Test problems are solved which gives an estimate of the accuracy achieved with the help of these elements on sparse nets. The convergence to exact solutions is illustrated by correlation between solutions on the sequentially improved nets.
