The article analyses the problem of estimating toxicity of motor vehicle emissions. We developed systems integrating analysis and mathematical processing of expert information and experimental data obtained during expert evaluation and inspection of motor vehicles, as well as representation of this information in a multi-user data processing system. We chose volume of toxic emissions as an efficiency indicator for reducing engine toxicity. The motor vehicle we employ as an example when considering the research testing scope is Volkswagen Passat. We used the Expert Developer Pro environment to implement a shell for an automated expert evaluation system meant to assess motor vehicle emission toxicity. We integrated our expert system with CAD systems in order to visualise network management data as 3D images and use computer simulation results in three-dimensional equipment environments of toxicity reduction systems. We provide guidelines for improving the architecture of intelligent transportation systems for processing environmental performance data
