Principles of making heat-exchange structures with pins of different form by the deformational cutting method are proposed. The technique and results of comparative tests with boiling of nitrogen on pin fin surfaces having pins of helical and straight inclined forms are set forth. The heat-exchange surfaces with inclined pins have demonstrated the best results in evaporator’s minimum-reachable temperature and cooling rate.
