A method is proposed for studying dynamics of angular motion of a descent spacecraft with inflatable brake device. The method is based on the following assumptions: deformation takes place in the plane of the spatial angle of attack; deformation is proportional to the transverse load that depends on the pressure head and sine of the spatial angle of attack. By example of studying the angular motion of a descent spacecraft with an inflatable brake device in the Mars atmosphere, it is shown that the main factor, causing a change in parameters of angular motion of the descent spacecraft, is the asymmetry of its external shape.
